This week is the opening of two new exhibitions, both Moderna museet and Malmö Konsthall each have a new exhibition:
The fantastic and the terrible – Marija Prymatjenko and works from the collections of the Modern Museum. Marija Prymatyenko, one of Ukraine’s most celebrated artists, is known for her colorful and imaginative motifs that often combine folkloric elements with bold visions. The exhibition revolves around themes of both beauty and horror, with Prymatjenko’s work as central tools for exploring the human condition, particularly in relation to war and peace. The exhibition runs from 21 September to 30 March 2025 at the Modern Museum in Malmö.

Rothman was a Swedish-Hungarian artist, writer and Holocaust survivor who lived in Sweden most of his life. She came with the Red Cross transport to Malmö in 1945. . . She reused and joined materials and worked with the power of story where time, objects, stitches and memories make up the fabric of life.
