Circus and Great Beer Festival!

The Southern Sweden Circus Festival continues and runs until 15/9. The circus festival is a collaboration between the city of Malmö and the municipality of Lund, which have jointly taken the initiative for an international circus festival. The festival takes place September 6–15 in Malmö and Lund, with events in a further ten municipalities in Scania. Anyone who wants to be given the opportunity to experience classic circus art, new circus and contemporary circus up close.
One of the highlights in Malmö will be another big parade from Triangeltorget to Mölleplatsen on 13/9. At Mölleplatsen, one of the world’s oldest touring circus companies, Cirkus Brazil Jack, together with the Southern Sweden Circus Festival brings an international concept to Sweden – Village Chapiteaux. Cirkus Brazil Jack is at the center when stars from different circus disciplines show arts at the very highest level.
In the Village Chapiteaux, everyone can experience circus magic up close. The younger ones can step into the arena and try out circus arts, and in the evening Village Chapiteaux offers a raw circus concert, humor and mind-blowing arts. Wednesday 11 September is the premiere of Malmö’s new stand-up comedy club Malmö Live Comedy on the Kanalscenen at Malmö Live. Free entry and the club will take place on three occasions during the autumn. https://malmolive.se/program/malmo-live-comedy

The 12-14.9 is the time for the Norragrängesberg festival, NGBG. The festival offers a wonderful mix of music genres, from indie and rock to electronica. In addition to the music, there is also the opportunity to enjoy art exhibitions, markets and food from local producers. 13-14.9 Great Swedish Beer Festival is Sweden’s largest beer festival with a focus on Swedish beer only and 60 different craft breweries from Luleå in the north to Malmö in the south are presented here. Great Swedish beer festival takes place at the Admiral. https://gsbf.se/

14-15.9 Design and Crafts Market in Lilla Torg. Here, a number of talented exhibitors exhibit their self-made works. 14-15.9 Tree marathon in Malmö this weekend 14-15.9 with guided tree walks. An opportunity to learn more about Malmö’s trees. Registration and tickets cost SEK 10 each. Malmö has won the climate competition One Planet City Challenge
The World Wildlife Fund gives the city of Malmö first prize in the national branch of the competition. The competition is organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
