All bathing places in Malmö are open for swimming, and there is no longer any algal bloom.

Archaeology Day 2006 – New discoveries about old Malmö
Sunday, August 30, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm. The event takes place at Malmö Museum. Meet the museum’s archaeologists and attend talks about current archaeological investigations in Malmö.
Malmö Museum’s archaeologists will be present in the Clues exhibition at Slottsholmen from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm. Take the opportunity to see artefacts, ask questions and talk about archaeology and the history of Malmö.
The programme is included with the museum’s regular admission.

Under the Open Sky – sing-along, conversations, quizzes and general knowledge quizzes at the Ferry Terminal. Every Sunday from August 30 to September 20, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
Under the Open Sky gives us the opportunity to meet a well-known Malmö personality who is interviewed about things we normally do not get to hear about. Susanna Dzamic and Kristoffer Jonzon interview Malmö personalities about the things we usually don’t get to hear.
It is a personal conversation that goes beyond the most predictable questions. The interview is interspersed with sing-alongs and a quiz based on the guest’s interests and favourites.
Guests at the opening event on August 30:
- Anders “Ankan” Johansson, a much-loved comedian and TV host, known from Bäst i test, På spåret and the comedy duo Anders och Måns.
- Valle Westesson, a Malmö-based comedian, author and cultural figure who has, among other things, written books about unusual sights and attractions.

Midnattsloppet takes place in Malmö on Saturday, August 29, starting at 9:00 pm. Start and finish at Stortorget.
