Spring is here for real and as usual we have collected some tips on what is happening in Malmö in the coming days.

Inauguration of the Spårvägen neighborhood in Sorgenfri
Be there when Malmö’s oldest industrial district is inaugurated to become a sustainable residential area.
Friday, May 9th, from 3-5pm, the new locations Spiggans plats, Bussparken and the entire area in general will be inaugurated with speeches, coffee and tips.

A new exhibition will also open at Form and Design Center on May 10th
“In the Making” highlights artistic methods as tools for change in a world where sustainability is a necessary starting point. The exhibition shows how architects and designers work interdisciplinary, experimentally and with all the senses, to shape the future while it is still taking shape.

On Saturday, May 10th, Folkets Park will be filled with activities for the whole family when the Spring Festival in the park will be held from 11 am to 9 pm.
The event has free admission.
At different places in the park, visitors can experience and try out different activities such as Singing and dancing with Funny and the bumblebee Djojj from Funny’s Adventures, Disney sing-a-long, trying out the circus, concerts, children’s disco, graffiti and art workshops for children, sing-alongs for children, trying out acrobatics and other circus arts on the lawn at Boulebar, exhibitions and much more.
The other activities in the park are also open and ensure that visitors can eat, have coffee and play golf.
One of Sweden’s leading dance bands ends the evening by inviting them to dance.

Historical walk in Folkets Park on May 11 at 3-4:30 p.m.

Join Jeanette Rosengren on a historic walk through Malmö Folkets Park. Here, people have been striking, dancing and eating sillasexor in the leafy arbors for 135 years!
On 8 occasions between May and September, you can learn more about Folkets Park, which has been a living part of the city’s heart since 1891. During our walk, you will hear about political demonstrations, famous artists, entrepreneurs, dance floors, writers. But also ordinary Möllevång residents will appear and tell us about how life in Sweden’s oldest folk park once took shape.
The walk starts at Folkets Park’s old entrance along Norra Parkgatan at the height of Barkgatan.

Become an inventor for a day May 11th at 1-4pm
Malmö Museum continues to invite curious children to try building, programming and trying their hand at it.
For children and young people aged 6-19.
Build robots using simple instructions or completely free from your imagination and then program the robot.
Participation is free for everyone up to 19 years of age. Accompanying adults pay the entrance fee to Malmö Museum.
