National Day, Pentecost, Student Week and another week with an extra day off for many.

The student life in Malmö starts tomorrow, June 3rd, when Malmö Latin School and St Petriskolan start this year’s student celebration in Malmö. Then it continues every weekday until June 13th, when Drottning Blanka’s high school and ProCivitas high school end this year’s student celebration, so now we have almost two weeks of happy young people and student groups in the city center.

June 5th Opening of Torups Nature Center – a place for learning and close-to-nature experiences. Here you can learn more about nature and the importance of the ecosystem for Bokskogen. Torups Nature Center is located on the top floor of the outdoor recreation center’s warehouse building. National Day on June 6th
National Day is traditionally celebrated with ceremonial speeches, music and performances on Stortorget between 12-2 pm.

We will celebrate this for two days with a big anniversary festival in Folkets Park on June 6-7

8 June 11-16 World Ocean Day / Havets dag 2025 at Södra Varvsbassängen. Together we celebrate World Ocean Day at the Södra Varvsbassängen, which is being transformed into an underwater park with, among other things, eelgrass, bladderwrack, mussels and fish. Come and meet ocean ambassadors and others who are committed to the ocean and take part in creative activities about the ocean. New exhibition at Malmö Art Museum, Malmö Museum with the Sami artist Outi Pieski. Through painting, textiles, video and large-scale installations, Outi Pieskis raises themes such as indigenous peoples’ rights and sustainable development. Her work has roots in the Sami craft tradition, duodji, and conveys a strong connection to Sami culture and identity, where the relationship to nature and historical stories are central. New exhibition The group exhibition “Landmärkt” brings together the Lebanese artists Marwa Arsanios, Afram Chamoun, Nadim Choufi and Dala Nasser The exhibition will be on display at Moderna Museet between June 5-15. Three of them are exhibiting in Sweden for the first time.
