The King celebrates 50 years on the throne. The anniversary visit to Malmö begins with a magnificent cortege where the royal couple travels by horse and carriage along Neptunigatan and Norra Vallgatan. Afterwards, the celebration continues on Stortorget. Here Malmö Kulturskola will offer performances with music and dance. In addition, a photo exhibition will be shown and Katrin Stjernfeldt Jammeh, the chairman of the municipal board, will present a memorial gift to the king. Anneli Hulthén, county governor and Carina Nilsson, chairman of the municipal council, also participate in the celebration on Stortorget.
